A little about me:

    Hey everyone, my name is Megan De Ruyter. A few things about me that I want to tell you...I first and foremost love Jesus! He has saved me and has given me life! This blog is one of the ways I'd love to share about His goodness!

   Raised a country girl, I was always outside, and my love for God's creation has heightened as He has allowed me to travel the world, & experience different people groups. I moved to O'ahu, Hawai'i, nearly 6 years ago to do YWAM, & fell in love with Jesus; learning that we can commune with the Holy Spirit, & bring the Kingdom of God to earth. I fell in love with the island: the ocean, the Hawaiian culture, the people, & the mountains. I love hiking, biking, surfing. I love anything active, adventurous, spontaneous: sports, working outside, working out, etc. I enjoy singing, travelling, taking pictures, writing, reading, pulling pranks, & I am learning the guitar. I also love talking to my niece and nephews about Jesus! 

 

   Recently, the Lord led me to Santa Cruz, California through a vision of a lighthouse. He solidified (through a dream), my continuing to work with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). It is a Christian organization that mobilizes missionaries to reach the unreached world with the Gospel of Jesus. Our base focus is on Discipleship, Biblical studies, & evangelism, & on a practical note, I work with hospitality, kitchen, and the local homeless outreach. The LORD has been stirring in my heart, Bible distribution to the nations, for a while, & has recently highlighted sports ministry to some degree, & we are stoked to see how the LORD is going to lead in this through prayful direction. It is an exciting adventure with God here, and I can't wait for more to come!
