Childhood hints to "Calling"!

When you dress the same as your 3 yr.old self without realizing...

Recently, the Lord has reiterated to me that childhood & those "innocent years" can give hint to a calling on your life.
Where you were woven together in your mothers womb & those years where the world hadn't "tarnished the mind yet". The years you are your natural, wonderfully made self, and find yourself doing out of the ordinary things, or maybe simple things, yet profound!
To have a look in the past & see how you played, just lived as a child, & what you were drawn to.
When you are that young, you can't help but be yourself as the Lord created you.
Personally, I lost my way, as time went on, listened to the world and went off course, but as I am now in relationship with my Creator, it is automatic how He has directed me back to those things. It parallels how I was as a child.
So it seems to be the absolute truth when Psalm 139 talks about the intentionality and intimacy of being created by my heavenly Father.
The joy, satisfaction, and contentment of knowing I'm doing what im supposed to & living the way I was created, wow!
Maybe this is what Jesus meant, also, by not being able to enter the kingdom of heaven unless you are like a child... (free of worldly influence & lies, living the way you were meant to live).
Instead, free to just be me, that child that loved to go explore outside in the woods, made arrows out of sticks to go fight the "bad guys", & be that firey wild child kinda crazy & undignified... very intense with everything, according to my mom. ;)
These days, the Lord has taken me w/Him on an adventure to explore far places in mountains, jungles, valleys, oceans, countries, islands.... shown me how to wield His sword & put on His armor, to extinguish the flaming darts of the evil one... and stoked a fire in His wild child warrior princess... (all of which I'm continually learning about!)
So to realize the intricacy of being created, & walking out a personal calling, it's imperative to continue to submit to the Spirit of God, rather than the flesh. (Galatians 2.20).
To die to one's self, so that resurrection life and many seeds can spring forth. (John 12.24-26). To see the GOOD fruit of walking in your godly purpose.
The big question is... what did you do as a child, & does it line up with God's truth over your life right now? (Not "your" truth, not the "world's" truth, as it is always changing... but Gods truth. Period.)
The key words are "God" & "Truth"... God is Truth, so the only way you will know the truth is by being in relationship with God, being in His word, & He will reveal these things to you!
God never changes, and He is not a God of confusion. This is a comfort, an anchor, and helps root you in faith.
His word over your life helps root you in your purpose.
[[Ie: Did you play as a nurse or doctor when you were little? (You might have the gift of healing, or are called to be a doctor/nurse). Do you have an unrelenting love for adventure or travel? (You could be called to the nations). Were you uncaringly outgoing to anyone and everyone as a child? (You might be an evangelist).
Did you see the one left on the side or in the shadows and take them under your wing, befriend them? (You might have the gift of compassion, a calling to Shepherd, pastor & champion). Did you build things, create things, etc.? (You might have an apostolic calling or gift of worship).]]
You might say, well, what if I've done all these things? well then... Praise the LORD, you are gifted, and you might use some of these things in different seasons of you life! That's cool!
We have a limitless God, Who fulfills His promises, helps walk with you in the purpose(s) He has created for you, because He put it in you! What a Father!
Just to hopefully spark something... Did I get you thinking?! :)
Have fun figuring it out with the Lord. Ask Him. Ask others what they see in you, and how you were as a child.
Love ya muchly!
